We stayed at The Bridge in one of the standard rooms which allows dogs. Considering this was just a 'standard' room we were blown away. The decor was tasteful, the room was immaculate and the views were breathtaking. Our dog was made to feel welcome from the start and was fussed continuously by the staff, who made us feel at ease immediately. Dog owners who travel with their pooches will know how some 'dog friendly' establishments are anything but. Well The Bridge certainly makes sure that both dog owners and non-dog owners have a comfortable stay without the dogs interfering in other residents' stays or the owners feeling ill at ease. The breakfasts are fantastic too (the Cumbrian full breakfast was the best I'd had) and the adjacent pub served fantastic food shoulf you not wish to dine at the hotel in the evening. All in all a perfect stay. The pooch is already demanding a return visit.
