Stamp of Approval by the Royal Mail
Buttermere, acclaimed as one of Britain's 10 most attractive landscapes, is featured on a new set of Royal Mail special stamps. The stamp is part of the latest instalment of Royal Mail's 'British Journey' series, a two-year photographic trip around the home nations capturing the essence of each part of the UK by exploring the landscape in terms of colour and texture.
The image of Buttermere accompanies some famous landmarks and hidden treasures in the new issue, including St Paul's Cathedral, Robin Hood's Bay and St Boniface Down on the Isle of Wight. |
