Children sharing a room with adults:- Aged up to 2 years - free* Aged 3 - 6 years, 25% of adult tariff * Aged 7 - 12 years, 50% of adult tariff Children occupying own rooms are charged full rate.
* Our dining room facilities are not suitable for children under 7 after 7.00pm. However, an early dining option is available at 6.00pm to accommodate children in the dining room if accompanied by an adult. It should be noted that children should have concluded their meal by 7.00pm. Childrens menus are also available in the bar
No allowance can be made for meals not taken.
Single rooms are available. Double rooms may be let as singles, subject to availability, at a surcharge of 50%.
TV and radio are not provided in the hotel rooms because of poor reception due to the surrounding fells.
No smoking - is observed throughout the hotel, bars and self-catering apartments.
Dogs will be excluded from the hotel and bars effective from the 1st January 2006. They will still be welcome in several of the self catering apartments. Please ensure you bring your dog's own bedding.
Special Diets: Please give advance notice of these.
Gratuities are not included but the staff operate a shared "tronc" should you wish to reward good service.

Bridge Hotel Ltd. Terms and Conditions
Reservations: a deposit of £40.00 per person is required to confirm a booking. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
A confirmed booking and consequent room reservation constitutes a legal contract - we are bound to hold a room for a guest who in turn is bound to pay for it. In the event of cancellation for any reason, or non-arrival of any guest on the agreed date, the total price will be levied. Every effort will be made to re-let the room(s) at the contract price. If successful an administration fee of £15 will be deducted from any refundable payments.
Methods of payment: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro. Cash and cheques may be accepted together with credit card details.
This tariff, terms and conditions are effective from July 2008 and supersede all others. We reserve the right to alter them without notice should that become necessary.
We advise all guests take out booking cancellation insurance. Click here for details of a recommended policy.

We let the apartments on a weekly basis on Saturday arrival. Shorter breaks may be available during the Winter months.

The tariff includes hot water, electricity, central heating, towels, linen, and VAT at 15.00%. All apartments can cater for an extra two people, utilising a sofa bed in the lounge.
All tariffs are offered subject to availability. We retain the right to alter these prices without notice.
A deposit of £100 is required to secure a booking and the balance is due 6 weeks prior to your stay. We will send you details of our holiday insurance scheme and strongly recommend this or something similar as all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable unless cancelled bookings are re-let at full tariff rate. No Smoking is observed throughout the self catering apartments.
Laundry - A washing and drying service is available, please contact reception for details.
Dogs - Two of the apartments can accommodate well-trained dogs. There is a £50.00 premium per dog per week for these apartments and we do require advance notice of pets as they will not be allowed in other apartments. Dogs own basket or bedding essential. In cases where there is a need for additional cleaning a premium will be charged at a cost as decided by a Director of the Bridge Hotel.
Private parking is provided for guests.
Shopping - There are no shops in Buttermere, however, Keswick and Cockermouth have excellent supermarkets. Unfortunately, the hotel cannot provide foodstuffs on a retail basis but offers a full bar meal and restaurant service.
DVD players are installed in the apartments, (DVD's not supplied). Free sat television is also available.
