Pure Lakes at the Bridge Hotel
We here at the Bridge Hotel love nothing more than being able to support and buy local wherever and whenever we possibly can. So, when a Lake District company advocates circular economy and ethically procured ingredients from traceable and sustainable sources, they immediately have our attention.
Local and responsibly sourced is right up our alley at the Bridge Hotel (literally) and we’re always looking for ways to add “a touch of luxury after a long walk”. As we at the Bridge Hotel continue to strive towards being as environmentally responsible as we can, we have chosen to stock Pure Lakes products in the ensuite bathrooms of all our rooms as well as the bathrooms of our public bar. Not just because we’re always looking to support local products, but because they’re amazing, smell fantastic and this way we can share it with everyone else. Having the bathrooms smell like a summer meadow is also never a bad thing, when it’s environmentally responsible too, that’s a real win.
Not only do the Pure Lakes products smell fantastic, with many intoxicating scents to choose from, (our favourite is Orange and Basil) they are also award winning, being awarded “Winner of Natural Health” at the International Beauty Awards 2019 and a National Recycling award for their refill service. After having used them, it’s easy to see why. As we at the Bridge Hotel always try to do more to improve our mark on beautiful Buttermere and the environment on a whole, we find sometimes it is in smaller decisions that we can make big changes. Such as using local products with a revolutionary refill service to drastically cut down on packaging. If only wind turbines wouldn’t impair the natural beauty of the area, we could supply all of England with energy at times in our little valley.
As such, we feel Pure Lakes products are a perfect fit for our hotel – handmade, local and responsibly sourced with all organic ingredients (and that’s just our kitchen). Thus, it was a ‘natural’ (get it) decision to include them into all the ensuites in the Bridge Hotel. This way all our guests can enjoy them as much as we do. Should you be enticed, we even have a selection of the items from the bathrooms and some gift sets available for purchase at our Reception.
